Planning and Preparation

I created the following lesson plans, projects, and units. They demonstrate knowledge of content and pedagogical skills in planning and preparation.  Through these assignments, I prove my ability to make plans and set goals based on the content to be taught/learned, knowledge of assigned students, and instructional context. 

The assignments below represent content from the following categories in relation to planning and preparation to become a music teacher:

  1. Knowledge of content

  2. Knowledge of pedagogy

  3. Knowledge of Pennsylvania’s K-12 Academic Standards

  4. Use of educational psychological principles/theories in the construction of lesson plans and setting instructional goals

  5. Use of resources, materials, or technology available through the school or district Instructional goals that show a recognizable sequence with adaptations for individual student needs 

  6.  Assessments of student learning aligned to the instructional goals and adapted as required for student needs 

  7.  Use of educational psychological principles/theories in the construction of lesson plans and setting instructional goals
